Our beloved Elder Willie Williams went on to be with the Lord on October 12, 2024. He was a kind man, always sharing the Word and encouraging others around him. And he made his home here in Barberton, Ohio, a pillar of the community.

He took great pride in his neighborhood and often spent much time walking around collecting trash and litter thrown out by residents and visitors alike. In his own yard, in the church yard, and in the yards of many of the houses along the way. He valued the planet that our Lord gave us and didn't want anyone soiling it.

To commemorate him, Sis. Ayesha Vaughn (the heart behind our Move Group) made the decision to put together an annual Elder Willie Walk in which all our invited to come together and clean, just as Elder Willie did.

The church provided sticks, bags, and gloves for those who participated.
